HOLY SCRIPTURES

We believe in the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God, infallible in the original writing, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the supreme and final authority in all matters pertaining to Christian life and faith.

II Timothy 3:16, 17; II Peter 1:20,21; Revelation 22:18,19

TRINITY

We believe in the Trinity. There is one living and true God who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are the same in the substance, equal in power and glory.

Mathew 3:16,17; 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14

THE FATHER

We believe in an infinite God, with attributes that are beyond human comprehension, a God whose personality makes it possible for man to have fellowship with Him.

Genesis 1:26; John 3 :16; Matthew 11:27

THE SON

We believe that the Son became incarnate in the person of Jesus Christ who was begotten by God, the Father, and born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures as a substitutionary sacrifice. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us as our High Priest, Intercessor, and Advocate.

Romans 3:24-28; John 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-equal with God in all His attributes, and is sent by the Lord Jesus Christ from the Father, to convict the world of sin, to regenerate, indwell, guide, and teach the believer, and to empower Him to live in victory over sin.

John 15:26; 16:7, 8, 13.

CELESTIAL BEINGS

We believe in the reality and personality of holy angels who are ministering spirits to believers. We believe in the reality and personality of Satan who dominates the evil world system.

Hebrews 1:14; Ephesians 6:12.

MAN

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.

Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Psalm 51:5.

SALVATION

We believe that salvation is a gift of God by grace (undeserved and unearned favor) and received by man through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ whose precious blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins.

Ephesians 2:8, 9; 1:7; John 1:12.

CHURCH

We believe that the true Church consists of all those who, through faith in Jesus Christ, are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head. We believe that the Lord Jesus instituted the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper to be observed by all believers. These directives are not, however, to be regarded as a means of salvation.

Ephesians 1:22, 23; 5:26, 27; Matthew 28:19, 20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.

PROPHECY

We believe in the personal, bodily, visible, and premillennial advent of our Lord Jesus Christ in the glory of His Father, and that this blessed hope has vital bearing in the personal life and service of the believer. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Matthew 25:46; John 3:36.
